Kegg was hired as a full time Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field Coach July 2009 after spending three seasons as a part time coach.

 

Kegg has coached atheltes who currently hold 15 EOU school records between
Indoor, Outdoor and Relays.


He has also coached 3 athletes who have earned 6 All Americans honors here at
EOU.


His Duaghter Nora will be a Freshman Thrower here this year

 

Prior to coming to EOU, Kegg spent 10 years as the Head Track Coach at Clackamas Community College.  While at Clackamas CC, Kegg distinguished himself as one of the elite coaches in the Northwest.

On three separate locations Coach Kegg was named NWAACC Southern Region Coach of the Year.  He was also tabbed as the NWAACC Coach of the Year on the women's side in 2000. 

During his tenure at Clackamas he helped develop 325 Junior College All-Americans, 26 school record holders, 4 national junior college record holders and 9 US National or Olympic Trials Qualifiers.

In 2001 Kegg was invited to coach at the Olympic Training Center during the Elite Decathlon Camp.  He is also the past President of USA Track and Field in Oregon.

Jack started his college coaching career at Western Oregon University as a graduate assistant and is the proud father of daughter Nora and son Connor.
