Katee in the City: Day Four

Game day is here!

March 10, 2010
3:45 p.m.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Where to start…This day seems to have flown by as it is now almost four and this is only my first blog of the day.

I spent most of the morning trying to upload video and change picture files and I know I will not be the first to say that it is pretty time consuming. Yet it must be done as I, along with the team want to share some of our experience with you!

Game day is finally here as the team spent most of the day preparing for the game tonight against Black Hills State University. They were give the chance to sleep in and then they were right down in the lobby watching game tapes. Next they were off for a quick lunch at Red Robin and then the made there way to the gym to get a little feel for the type of atmosphere they will be playing in. They then had one last shoot around at Morningside College this afternoon and are now back in there rooms with a little bit of time to relax and get ready.

I too am enjoying this little bit of time to relax and catch up!

As we made our way back into our rooms the girls were greeted with a nice little surprise from there host, Comfort Inn and H2O4U. When we first at the hotel the rooms had a case of bottled water and basket full of goodies. The baskets included: chips, candy, fruit, and yo-yo or slinky. This afternoon a good luck note and quote were left on the bed, along with little candies and balloons. Each team in the tournament has one or two host that help make there stay here in Sioux City a little easier. For example many of the girls have taken advantage of the fact they are more they will to do there laundry.

I don't know about those of you reading this blog, but I am excited for tonight and hope you are too! Again you can watch the game live at 7:15 p.m. PT in Quinn. And for those of you who don't think Quinn sounds too exciting, I have also been told that Benchwarmers will be playing the game as well, so head down have a cold drink and enjoy the game! It should be a good one.

EOU Women - Good luck tonight!
