LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University softball team announced the signing of Angelica Boyer Friday.
Boyer, from Helena, Mont., joins the Mountaineers after a great high school career at Capital High School. The daughter of Nicole Weissman and Bradley Boyer graduated with honors from CHS.
“I am very pleased that Angelica will be joining the Mountaineer Softball program,” Eastern Oregon Director of Athletics Rob Cashell said. “She is coming in from an outstanding Montana high school program that has had much success that she has been a big part of. In addition, Angelica is well prepared academically to excel at EOU.”
Boyer was given the Bruin Teammate award while at Capital. She was also named the Most Inspirational Player, achieved two letters, and was named All-Conference honorable mention behind the plate.
Boyer would like to be a Spanish major at Eastern and move into the teaching field in the future. She will be an incoming freshman next season.
“I chose Eastern because of the great atmosphere, the small town, and the caring professors,” Boyer said.
