EOU Men's Harriers Finish 12th nationally
Coffey and Flores each named All-Americans

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The Eastern Oregon University men's cross country team finished 12th at the NAIA National Championships Saturday.
DJ Flores led the Mountaineers with a 16th place overall finish. The freshman was named an All-American with the top 30 finish. Karlee Coffey crossed the line 12th overall on the women's side. Coffey, a freshman as well, was earned All-American status with the finish.
Flores crossed the finish line with a time of 25:38, just under a minute off of Silas Kisorio's first place time, 24:23. Kisorio, a sophomore from Oklahoma Christian, won the meet. Justyna Mudy from Shorter College of Georgia won the women's race with a time of 17:30.
Forrest Lumpry finished just shy of an All-American title with a 33rd place finish. There were 323 runners in the men's race. All seven EOU men's runners crossed the finish line under 28 minutes. The Mountaineer men finished six points shy of 10th place, and 17 points short of a 8th place finish.
Southern Oregon's mens team entered the race as the favorite but finished third overall behind Malone (Ohio) and Concordia (Neb.). Cascade Collegiate Conference foes, The College of Idaho and Concordia, finished 10th and 13th. SOU's David Laney came in seventh place individually.
Cal State San Marcos won the team title on the women's side, finished closely by Biola (Calif.) and Malone. The College of Idaho finished seventh overall, and Concordia was 12th. Coffey had the top finish individually in the conference.
