The Eastern Oregon University men's and women's cross country teams had opposite results in the final top 25 poll of the 2009 season.
The Mountaineer men climbed to No. 18 in the country, but the women fell from No. 19 to the receiving votes category. The new rankings come after the results at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship Meet.
Saturday the EOU men finished third at the championships, and the women came in fourth. The Mountaineer women entered the race rated second the conference, but were passed by Concordia and Southern Oregon. Concordia enters the national poll this week at No. 21 and SOU is No. 25.
Southern Oregon is still atop the men's rankings. The College of Idaho went from No. 11 to No. 8 in the new poll. Concordia moved from No. 25 to No. 24.
The Cavalier men and women will take automatic berths into the national meet on Nov. 21 as the event hosts.
