LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team rebounded after a loss Friday to defeat Concordia University Saturday, 53-37.

The Mountaineers (14-7) (9-3) remain in the conference race with the victory. Kyle Miller led EOU with 15 points on 6 for 6 shooting from the field. Tana Stickney recorded her fifth career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Eastern held an opponent to 37 points for the second time this season, and under 40 points for the third time this season. It's the lowest a CCC opponent has scored on the Mountaineers since a 53-34 victory over Oregon Tech on Feb. 23, 2007.

EOU held Concordia to 28 percent shooting from the field in the win, and 17 percent from behind the perimeter. The Mountaineers were 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from behind the arc. Eastern outrebounded CU, 42-30. EOU improved to 13-1 when shooting a better field goal percentage than its opponents this season.

Eastern led by as many as eight points in the first half, and 18 in the second half. Concordia never had the lead in the game.

The Cavaliers were led by Danielle Clauson's 14 points on 7 for 17 shooting from the field. Grace Cappleman grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Megan Padilla threw a team-high four assists. CU has lost four consecutive games.

Eastern travels to The College of Idaho Friday for its next game. The No. 18 Lady Yotes defeated Warner Pacific Saturday. C of I (15-5) (11-2) knocked off the Mountaineers on Jan. 8, in La Grande, 47-43. Concordia hosts Corban College Friday in its next game.
