LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University cross country runners,
Sarah Hanchett and
Damion Flores, won the women's and men's titles at the EOU Open Saturday.
Hanchett won the women's race with a time of 10:32. The sophomore led a group of 14 runners in the 3,000 meter race. Eastern runners,
Laura Hansen and
Talissa Baldovino, finished in second and third with times of 10:38 and 10:42 across the line.
Flores' first place time of 15:39 in the 5,000 meter race was in front of a 31-participant field.
Ryan Booth and
Kody Coxen were second and third with times of 15:57 and 15:59.
The Mountaineers run in the Coyote Twilight Thursday in Caldwell, Idaho. The race begins at 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
