SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 177 Division II women's basketball players have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
This is the second academic honor for Luce this season. The Myrtle Point, Ore. native, was named to the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Academic team as well.
Luce helped the Mountaineers to another 20-win season and get to the NAIA Div. 2 National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. She will be graduating with a degree in Business Management this year.
