LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University football team hosted its annual Big Man Camp Saturday on the EOU campus.
The Big Man Camp's philosophy is to provide solid fundamental instruction in all aspects of offensive and defensive line play. It was a helmet and shoulder pads camp, and featured competitive testing and drill sessions. The camp had young men in grades 9th through 12th according to the Fall 2010 semester.
“The EOU coaches did a great job today working with some very good lineman from around the Pacific Northwest,” Mountaineers' head football coach
Tim Camp said. “Eastern won the day today. And, the weather was perfect today.”
The Eastern Oregon Team Camp will run from July 19th to 22nd. The camp is also available for players entering the 9th grade through 12th grade in the 2010 Fall Semester. The EOU coaching staff is committed to creating the best high school, full contact, team camp available.
The camp features four days of practice at your discretion, in late July, two to three weeks before most teams begin their practices. The camp addresses individual, group, and team development. It includes a 7-on-7 tournament and lineman rush league.
The games are competitively matched and teams have a chance to play in Community Stadium, home of Eastern Oregon University football. The camp cost $160 for day campers and it includes brunch and dinner. Overnight campers can stay in an EOU dorm for $230. A camp shirt is available for all campers.
Discounts are available for teams bringing more than 30 players. Please finalize your deposits by June 19th. Balance is due upon arrival.
