LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Division of Athletics has opened registration for the 2011 Mountaineer Booster Club Scholarship Scramble.
The registration form can be accessed on the right side of the screen on any team page or the scrolling ads on the homepage. The form is also available at the bottom of this release.
Last year a record 30 teams and 117 players participated in the scholarship scramble which takes place during homecoming weekend every year at Buffalo Peak Golf Course. This year the tournament is on Friday, Oct. 14.
Shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. All proceeds support athletic scholarships. The entry fee for the tournament is $75 a person or $300 per four person team.
The tournament is a four person scramble and will feature many opportunities for teams and individuals to win prizes. Last year, the teams competed for numerous prizes including a Shane Boehm, of Sterling Financial Services, sponsored $25,000-dollar hole-in-one opportunity and a John J. Howard Real Estate sponsored $10,000 cash prize for an expanded putting contest. Goss Motors again sponsored a chance to win a 2010 EZ go golf cart.
Golfers enjoyed a catered barbecue by D and D catering. D and D has provided the food for the scramble for the past eight years.
